In our view, credit fundamentals have remained supportive, with credit assets delivering strong performance in the first half of 2026, despite periods of volatility driven by geopolitical tensions and growing concerns around AI disruption and private credit markets.

However, with spreads at relatively tight levels, we believe disciplined credit selection and active management are becoming increasingly important. Elevated all-in yields continue to provide an attractive income cushion and support total return potential, while robust issuer fundamentals should help limit downside risks.

With limited scope for broad based spread compression, maintaining liquidity and flexibility to take advantage of periods of market weakness will be key to capturing opportunities as they arise.
